Not a popular idea!

I get frustrated by the way science often aims at enormous ego expanding probems and prizes as I should be. It may be hubris that attracts people to string theory and explaining the universe and it's origins. Naturally what baffles and confuses stirs us up. Are
we being victims of our most innate scientific desires? Can we really hope to see other universes and the moment of the big bang? Is everything going perhaps a seduction of the cosmos itself? Almost a love affair with what is beyond our sight and even our imagining? The hard questions are the ones that make us the most uncomfortable. Matters of time and the force of time. Questions of math and the mapping of things less exciting than a supernova. We can understand something in a short time, and rise expections by lowering them.
